Around October 2006 I began training with Dick Steele. He was introduced to me by the principal of the accounting firm I work for. Dick has been training Tony for some time. Tony, recognises Dick as the ‘best in the business’.

When I first meet Dick I was 138 kgs and carried 35% of that in body fat. My blood pressure was 160/110. You can see from the photos how I looked THEN.

During my first sessions with Dick, my aerobic capacity was quite poor. For my size, my strength was very poor.

Within six sessions of training with Dick, I had the ‘eye of the tiger’. I was ready for ANYTHING he threw at me. I could train at a high aerobic capacity for longer than even he had anticipated. I was doing twelve rounds on the ‘punching pads’ with him, and my hardest punches were the last few. My strength had increased by 50%.

As of February 2007, my blood pressure is now less than 130/80. My Doctor is very pleased.

Last weekend I competed in a 2km ocean swim and finished 2nd in my age group (45-49 years). Some members of the surf club of which I am a member now refer to me as Hercules. I am no longer ‘the fat guy’ on the beach.

By the end of this year, I intend to have a body fat percentage of 15%. The level of a professional athlete. I know it is achievable because Dick has taught me persistence is the key. Making training an enjoyable part of your everyday life. You don’t have to kill yourself in the process and hate the day to day grind of training. Dick has the ‘keys’ to unlock your inner abilities to get you where you want to go…happily and comfortably.

In August of 2002, following an accident the previous January, I approached Dick Steele with a severely frozen and painful shoulder and the prospect of surgery in a few months. In addition, I was overweight at 92 kilos and unfit. In short, I was keen to find a solution.

When I came to see Dick Steele on recommendations from family and friends, I had been under a physio for 4 months having my sciatic nerve treated. I had been a regular runner for many years and the pain in my legs was getting worse and worse. The work by the physio was doing absolutely nothing. I was living in Canberra at the time and was becoming desperate for some form of relief.

Dick was my last hope, otherwise I was starting to think that I would have to give up running altogether. A passion I’d had for the last 20 years and one of the few things that kept me sane!

Some members of the surf club of which I am a member now refer to me as Hercules.

Around October 2006 I began training with Dick Steele. He was introduced to me by the principal of the accounting firm I work for. Dick has been training Tony for some time. Tony, recognises Dick as the ‘best in the business’.

When I first meet Dick I was 138 kgs and carried 35% of that in body fat. My blood pressure was 160/110. You can see from the photos how I looked THEN.

During my first sessions with Dick, my aerobic capacity was quite poor. For my size, my strength was very poor.

Within six sessions of training with Dick, I had the ‘eye of the tiger’. I was ready for ANYTHING he threw at me. I could train at a high aerobic capacity for longer than even he had anticipated. I was doing twelve rounds on the ‘punching pads’ with him, and my hardest punches were the last few. My strength had increased by 50%.

As of February 2007, my blood pressure is now less than 130/80. My Doctor is very pleased.

Last weekend I competed in a 2km ocean swim and finished 2nd in my age group (45-49 years). Some members of the surf club of which I am a member now refer to me as Hercules. I am no longer ‘the fat guy’ on the beach.

By the end of this year, I intend to have a body fat percentage of 15%. The level of a professional athlete. I know it is achievable because Dick has taught me persistence is the key. Making training an enjoyable part of your everyday life. You don’t have to kill yourself in the process and hate the day to day grind of training. In August of 2002, following an accident the previous January, I approached Dick Steele with a severely frozen and painful shoulder and the prospect of surgery in a few months. In addition, I was overweight at 92 kilos and unfit. In short, I was keen to find a solution.

We started remedial massage treatment on my shoulder which gained mobility without the ongoing pain over the coming weeks. At the same time, I embarked on a weight loss program and lost 30 kilos by Jan 2003. I was overweight and not very motivated to do any exercise, I was referred to Dick Steele by a friend. Dick accessed my health and diet on our first meeting and he developed a plan to turn my body and my life around.
